<keyword id="19948209" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="two-wheeler" source="keywords">Two-wheeler</keyword> maker <keyword id="19983534" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hero-MotoCorp" source="keywords">Hero MotoCorp</keyword> Ltd on Wednesday reported a 16.3 per cent rise in consolidated <keyword id="19933742" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="profit" source="keywords">profit</keyword> after tax to Rs 943.46 crore in the fourth quarter ended on March 31, 2024, riding on higher sales. The company had posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 810.8 crore in the same period a year ago, Hero MotoCorp said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 9,616.68 crore as against Rs 8,434.28 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, it added. Hero MotoCorp said it sold 13.92 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters in <keyword id="20028449" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Q4" source="keywords">Q4</keyword> FY24 as against 12.70 lakh units in Q4 FY23. Total expenses were higher at Rs 8,427.36 crore in the fourth quarter as compared to Rs 7,508.94 crore in the same period a year ago. For the fiscal ended March 31, 2024, consolidated profit after tax was at Rs 3,742.16 crore as compared to Rs 2,799.9 crore in the previous fiscal. Consolidated revenue from operations for FY24 stood at Rs 37,788.62 crore as compared to Rs 34,158.38 crore in FY23, it added. Hero MotoCorp said it sold 56.21 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters in FY24 as compared to 53.29 lakh units in FY23. "During the year, our focus on product launches, network upgrades and customer satisfaction drove us to new heights. From the highest number of product launches to the expansion of new format retail outlets and upgrade at super speed, to a digital-first approach in premium, we set the building blocks in place for accelerated growth in future," Hero MotoCorp Chief Executive Officer Niranjan Gupta said. On the outlook, he said, "Moving forward, we expect the macroeconomic factors to aid the industry's growth. With commodity prices remaining stable, expectations of normal monsoons, and government spending expected to increase, we see multiple tailwinds for the sector over the upcoming quarters." Gupta further said the company will be driving market share gains on the back of launches in the premium and 125 cc segment done in FY 24. The company's board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 40 per share on the face value of Rs 2 per equity share subject to approval of the shareholders at the ensuing annual general meeting, the filing added. "This dividend together with an interim and special dividend, marking the centennial year of Chairman Emeritus Dr Brijmohan Lall Munjal of Rs.100 per equity share, takes the aggregate total dividend for the year 2023-24 to Rs 140 per equity share," the company said. Regarding the FIR filed against the company and its officials, the company in its statement said: "This is to inform that it is an old matter pertaining to the year 2009-10 with a disgruntled service provider, Brains Logistics Pvt. Ltd. (Promoter - Roop Darshan Pandey)." It may also be noted that while the complainant has mentioned company officials in the complaint, no official has been named in the FIR. "In 2013, Hero MotoCorp also registered an FIR against Brains Logistics and the matter is ongoing before the competent court," the Hero MotoCorp statement added.

Delhi HC stays cheating case filed against Hero MotoCorp CEO Pawan Munjal

New Delhi, Feb 29 () Hero MotoCorp Ltd on Saturday said it has inaugurated the first-ever training centre for women at Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Ambala in Haryana. The Centre of Excellence for Women - at ITI Ambala in Haryana will build key skill-set amongst women. Launched in association with the Skill Development and Industrial Training Department, Government of Haryana and United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the centre aims to enhance employment opportunities for women in the automotive industry. The industrial training will be imparted to women in a fully functional technician training labs set up under this association, a company statement said. Launched under Ek Pahal -- a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Hero MotoCorp -- the centre will also have a two-wheeler riding training facility for women. The centre is equipped with conventional learning facilities, including a fully automated technician training labs with pneumatic tools and precision equipment, it said. In addition, live cut sections of Hero Engines and other two-wheeler parts have also been installed to help the trainees gain hands-on expertise in latest automobile technologies, it added. On Wednesday, the <keyword id="70622" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Dow-Jones-Industrial-Average">Dow Jones Industrial Average</keyword> gained 1.05%, to 27,976.84 points. These are the stocks to watch out for during the trading session on August 13: Tata Power The board of Tata Power has approved the merger of its wholly-owned subsidiary Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd, into the parent company to provide financial relief as it continues to face losses. Gujarat Power operates the ultra mega power plant at Mundra. Besides that, the company on Wednesday posted a consolidated net profit of ₹268 crore, up 10% compared to the same quarter last year. The shares of Tata Power ended nearly 3% higher yesterday. <keyword id="146218" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Britannia-Industries">Britannia Industries</keyword> According to a stock-exchange filing Britannia Industries has allotted ‘commercial papers’ for an aggregate amount of ₹300 crores on August 12, with tenure of 12 months. Commercial paper is an unsecured debt instrument issued typically for the financing of a firm’s short-term liabilities. The shares of Britannia Industries ended over 2% lower yesterday. <keyword id="6357252" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hero-MotoCorp">Hero MotoCorp</keyword> Hero MotoCorp is slated to report its first quarterly earnings, today. According analysts, the company is expected to see a 66% revenue dip, and over 88% fall in its profit. The shares of Hero MotoCorp ended over 2% higher yesterday. Ashok Leyland <keyword id="120582" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hinduja-Group">Hinduja Group</keyword> flagship firm Ashok Leyland reported a consolidated net loss of ₹388.82 crore for the first quarter ended June 30. The company’s revenue from operations in April-June 2020 significantly declined to ₹1,486.04 crore as compared with ₹6,588.23 crore in the year-ago period. The shares of Ashok Leyland ended nearly 4% higher yesterday. Aurobindo Pharma Drugmaker Aurobindo Pharma’s net profit was up 22.81% to ₹780.68 crore for the quarter ended on June 30, 2020, mainly on account of robust sales in the US market. The shares of Aurobindo Pharma ended nearly 1% lower yesterday. <keyword id="6363556" type="DOMAIN" weightage="20" keywordseo="indiabulls">Indiabulls</keyword> Housing Finance Sameer Gehlaut has stepped down as the Executive Chairman of Indiabulls Housing Finance (IBH). The company has appointed former RBI deputy governor SS Mundra as its non-executive chairman with immediate effect. The shares of Indiabulls Housing Finance ended over 2% higher yesterday. Mahindra &amp; Mahindra Financial Services Mahindra &amp; Mahindra Financial Services has raised ₹3,088.82 crore through a rights issue which was oversubscribed approximately 1.3 times. The rights issue of the deposit-taking non-banking finance company closed on Tuesday. The shares of Mahindra &amp; Mahindra Financial Services ended nearly 1% higher yesterday.
