After the completion of eleven rounds of counting, Narwal polled 35,301 votes while Dutt got 24,971 votes. Indian National Lok Dal nominee <keyword id="10252015" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="joginder-singh-malik">Joginder Singh Malik</keyword> polled 3,548 votes while Loktantra Suarkasha Party candidate Raj Kumar Saini got 3,241 votes. The counting of votes for the bypoll to the Baroda assembly seat began at 8 am on Tuesday. There will be 20 rounds of counting. Three-tier security has been provided at the counting centre at Mohana in Sonipat, according to officials. The polling on November 3 for the Baroda assembly seat had recorded an overall turnout of 68.57 per cent, sealing the fate of 14 candidates. The Baroda assembly seat fell vacant in April following the death of Congress MLA Shri Krishan Hooda, who had won it thrice consecutively in the 2009, 2014 and 2019 assembly polls. The <keyword id="9291239" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Baroda-bypoll">Baroda bypoll</keyword> is being seen as a direct contest between the ruling BJP and the Congress. The Baroda bypoll is also a battle of prestige for former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda as this Jat-dominated constituency lies adjacent to his own Garhi-Sampla Kiloi seat in Rohtak and is considered his stronghold. The last date for the contesting candidates to file their nominations is Friday, October 4, 2019. All the filed applications will be scrutinized by the election commission on Monday, October 5, 2019 and on the same day, the EC will declare if the nominations are accepted or not. If any candidates look forward to withdraw their nominations, they can do so before Monday, October 7, 2019. The date of the general elections for the state will be Monday, October 21, 2019. The counting of the votes for all the constituencies will happen on Thursday, October 24, 2019 and the results will be announced shortly by evening on the same day. The total number of seats in the Haryana State assembly is 70. The election will see all the seats going for polls in single phase on the same day on Monday, October 21, 2019. Polling in all 200 assembly constituencies in the state will be held on November 25 and counting of votes will take place on December 3. "I am more focused on issues such as women empowerment and drinking water in my campaign," Rita Chaudhary, who is contesting from Sikar's <keyword id="17028790" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="danta-ramgarh" source="Orion">Danta Ramgarh</keyword> seat, told PTI on Monday. She has been fielded by Haryana-based Jannayak Janta Party. Her husband Virendra Chaudhary is the sitting Congress MLA, which has renominated him. Chaudhary is the son of former Congress state chief and seven-time MLA Narayan Singh. The family has traditionally been with the Congress but it witnessed a political split when Rita Chaudhary joined JJP in August this year, and was made the state president of JJP's women wing. Her expectations to get a ticket from the Congress party in the 2018 assembly elections were dashed as the party chose her husband Virendra. After that, Rita started strengthening her own political base. Rita said people in Danta Ramgarh want change. "Since I have been active among the people, I am confident that I will win this seat in the elections," she said. In the Dholpur assembly seat, interest in the contest between two members of the same family has been compounded by the fact that both the leaders have switched parties. <keyword id="4291541" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="shobharani-kushwah" source="Orion">Shobharani Kushwah</keyword> had won the seat in 2018 as a BJP candidate by defeating Congress's Dr Shivcharan Kushwah. Maharashtra, on the other hand, is seeing a lot more candidates from political families contesting the election this time around. Not just from Congress — the party normally under the lens for dynasty politics — but also from the BJP, Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Some candidates are looking to carry their family legacy forward, like the Hoodas in Haryana and <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/politics/elections/news/dhiraj-deshmukh-maharashtra-assembly-election-result-2019/articleshow/71730385.cms">Deshmukhs</a> in Maharashtra. Others are contesting the election against their own family members for the same constituency, like the Mundes. <ul><li>Out of the 1138 candidates analysed by the Association of Democratic Reforms, 481 or 42% are <keyword id="6366800" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="crorepatis">crorepatis</keyword>. </li><li>The Indian National Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party both have 79 crorepatis.</li><li>INC candidates top the list of assets with an average of ₹13.72 crores.</li></ul>The people of Haryana will vote for the <keyword id="6372146" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="assembly-elections">Assembly elections</keyword> on October 21, 2019 where 1169 candidates will fight out for 90 seats. These powerful people in politics are not short of a bob or two either. According to the Association of Democratic Reforms, out of the 1138 candidates analysed by them, 481 or 42% are crorepatis. The Indian National Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party both have 79 crorepatis, even though they have a total of 87 and 89 candidates respectively fighting for seats. Jannayak Janta Party which also has 87 candidates fighting for power, has 62 crorepatis. Meanwhile, the Indian National Lok Dal has 50 crorepatis, whereas 34 from BSP too have the same status. Rohtas Singh from Jannayak Janta Party is the<a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/politics/elections/news/the-top-richest-haryana-vidhan-sabha-election-2019-candidates-are-worth-1200-crore/articleshow/71628240.cms"> richest candidate </a>with assets worth ₹325 crores.
