While government levies a lot of taxes on dining out or watching your favourite movie at theaters, it also makes sure that the citizens can do so whenever they want. 
 
A new rule, which would allow shopping malls, theatres and eating joints to be open 24x7, has become a reality with the clearance of the Model Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Services) Act 2015. 
 
The move is also aimed at generating employment prospects, and could prove to be a fitting move for offline retailers who are worried over customers’ preference for online shopping that can be done round the clock. 
 
Here are a few things about the rule that you should know: 
 
1. The Act covers all public amusement establishments such as shopping malls, restaurants and local markets, which are not covered under the Factories Act 1948, with the condition that they must have at least 10 or more employees. 
 
2. The Act does not cover government offices (like banks), insurance companies and factories that are covered under the Factories Act 1948. 
 
3. The Act allows women to work 24x7, but they should be facilitated with safe transportation services and other related facilities such as creches if they are working in night shifts. 
 
4. The implementation of this Act will be issued as an advisory to states, and consensus from trade unions will not be needed.

Nearly 40% of India’s 1.2 billion residents do not have access to reliable electricity and like all other sectors, power has also been on the priority when it comes to announcing big schemes. But one of the main challenges that the government is facing right now is last mile connectivity. Though 96.7% villages are connected, according to 2011 census only 33% households, that is around 8 of 24 crores, do not have electricity. Modi has announced measures for this too. The centre has got state run enterprises to invest over Rs. 55,000 crores for better grid connectivity. But the whole mission is full of challenges that the government needs to pass in order to ensure <keyword id="3249173" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="24x7-power-for-all">24x7 power for all</keyword> by 2019. Experts see 2019 as only a far-fetched dream with the present conditions. 

	Challenges
 

	1. The real test is to connect the grid efficiently between producers and distributors. The current transmission system is insufficient to transfer power from surplus parts of the country to the deficit parts. States are also unable to buy cheaper power.
 

	2. Another fundamental issue is the gap between the cost of delivery and the ability of the customers to pay for that power.
 

	3. To ensure recovery of debt-ridden distributors so that they are able to set tariffs that reflect the true cost of power is another test the government has to pass.

Presently, there is a fixed time for shops to shutter down. Every state has a different law and this new draft will replace all laws. 
 
As per reports, India's retail industry is growing at 15% and expected to reach $1 trillion by 2020. 
 
If the proposal, being drafted by the labour ministry, gets a go ahead, people working at shops, malls, etc will have to work in shifts.

Malls, eating joints to remain open 24X7 soon!

Mumbai, Dec 6 () In a bid to promote digital transactions, the RBI on Friday said round-the-clock transactions will be allowed under the National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) system from December 16.
 The 24X7 NEFT system will be available on all days of the year, including holidays, it added.
 NEFT transactions are settled in hourly batches. For weekdays, the batches are from 8 am to 7 pm. On first and third Saturdays, the settlement happens from 8 am to 1 pm.
 In a notification, the central bank said it has been decided that the facility on NEFT system shall be made available from December 16, 2019 on 24X7 basis.
 The first settlement will take place after 00:30 hours on December 16, 2019 (night of December 15, 2019).
 The RBI has asked the member banks to keep adequate liquidity in their current account with the regulator at all times to facilitate successful posting of NEFT batch settlements.
 NEFT transactions after usual banking hours are expected to be automated transactions initiated using 'Straight Through Processing (STP)' modes by the banks.
 The existing discipline for crediting beneficiary's account or returning the transaction (within 2 hours of settlement of the respective batch) to originating bank will continue, it added.
 Besides, member banks will ensure sending of positive confirmation message for all NEFT credits and all provisions of NEFT procedural guidelines will be applicable for 24x7 transactions as well, it added.
 "Member banks are also advised to initiate necessary action and ensure availability of all necessary infrastructural requirements at their end for providing seamless NEFT 24x7 facility to their customers," the regulator said.
 Banks may disseminate information on the extended timings for NEFT to all their customers, RBI said.
 From July 1 this year, RBI had decided not to levy charges on transactions through NEFT and Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system in order to promote digital transactions in the country, and asked banks to pass on the benefits to the customers.
 Earlier, the RBI used to levy minimum charges on banks for transactions routed through RTGS and NEFT. Banks, in turn, levy charges on their customers.
 RTGS is meant for large-value instantaneous fund transfers, while NEFT is used for fund transfers of up to Rs 2 lakh. KPM ABM

While the 2TB SSD without the heatsink measures 80mm x 22mm x 2.38mm and weighs 7.5 grams, the heatsink variant measures 80mm x 23.4mm x 8.8mm and weighs 24 grams. I tested the 2TB variant with a heatsink, which is quite bulky and the circuit board has been encased in metal. The heatsink comes with holes on the sides, allowing air to circulate between them and thereby increasing the surface area. Western Digital has also offered the Game Mode 2.0 with the SN850X. This offers adaptive thermal management, predictive loading and overhead balancing. The application is easy to use and while there is not much to meddle with, it’s good to have the application. Coming to performance, the WD Black SN850X SSD comes with a NAND upgrade, which enables higher sequential-read speeds and an increased sequential-write speed. The SSD’s TLC flash memory chips have been upgraded to 112-layer chips, an upgrade from the SN850’s 96-layer TLC chips. The sequential-read speed has been upgraded from 7,000MB/s to 7,300MB/s and the sequential-write speed has been upgraded from 5,300MB/s to 6,300MB/s. During my testing, it offered a sequential read speed of 7363.74 MB/s and a sequential-write speed of 6690.06 MB/s on the CrystalDiskMark. Thermal management has also received a boost with the SN850X and during extensive gaming, the SSD hovers around 53-55 degrees, which is good. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Verdict" comment="subhead" text="Verdict">Verdict</cmsannotation> The WD Black SN850X 2TB SSD is an excellent option for those looking for a premium gaming SSD. The short throw projector offers between a 60 to 120-inch projection from 1 to 3 meters distance in 4K resolution. The projector offers vertical keystone correction, image warping, and a 4-point keystone correction, making it easy to achieve a perfect image alignment. The included remote control has a motion-sensitive backlight, which is useful for making adjustments in the dark. The projector offers up to 240Hz refresh rate when connected to a console. You have the option to choose from 4K at 60Hz, 1440p at 120Hz or 1080p at 240Hz. I found the 1440p at 120Hz to offer the best balance of resolution and refresh rate. If you are watching movies or games, you can switch to 4K resolution. While using the projector at 240Hz, the company claims you can get the input lag down to 4.2 seconds. I played several games on the Xbox, from fast-paced games to games with varied visuals. The projector was able to properly render everything, with good shadow details even in dark areas. The projector’s Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) automatically switches to ultra-fast input settings when gaming is detected. However, in this mode, some image correction features are disabled to prioritise performance. Apart from gaming, the projector also works well for entertainment. While gaming, I used the device’s Gaming profile but switched to the Movie mode while watching movies. The projector is a great replacement for TVs and watching movies and even cricket on the console was a good experience. The ViewSonic X2-4K’s LED lamp offers a brightness of 2,900 Lumens. The light source is rated for 60,000 hours, so you don’t have to worry about it anytime soon. For audio, the projector is equipped with 2 x 6-watt Harmon Kardon speakers. The speakers deliver good audio, both for gaming and other entertainment. You also have the option to connect an external audio system using Bluetooth or the 3.5mm audio port. <h2>Verdict</h2>The ViewSonic X2-4K is a great option if you are a gamer looking to take your gaming experience to the next level and are willing to invest in a premium gaming projector. At the same time, the pricing is on the higher side and is a bit expensive for casual users. The projector can not only be used for gaming but also for watching movies and sports like cricket. If your wallet can take the hit, the ViewSonic X2-4K is an excellent option.
