The company's net profit has jumped 24% year-on-year. In a regulatory filing, the company said for the second quarter that ended September 30, it has earned a total income of Rs 1,019.07 crore (Q2FY23: Rs 689.42 crore) and a net profit of Rs 754.34 crore (Q2FY23: Rs 485.08 crore). The company's consolidated total income of the company rose 25% on-year to Rs 26,023 crore, from Rs 20,803 crore in a year ago period. Bajaj Finserv Q2 net profit rises 24%, revenue up 25%

The index opened lower and tanked further 672.53 points or 0.92 per cent to hit a low of 71,816.46 in early trade. However, the index rebounded in the second half on value-buying in banking shares. The NSE <keyword id="19896381" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Nifty" source="keywords">Nifty</keyword> jumped 151.15 points or 0.69 per cent to close at 22,147. The broader index dropped to a low of 21,777.65 in early trade before paring its losses to end in the green. From the Sensex basket, Bajaj Finance, Mahindra &amp; Mahindra, HDFC Bank, JSW Steel, Maruti, Wipro, Bharti Airtel, <keyword id="19950210" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="bajaj-finserv" source="keywords">Bajaj Finserv</keyword>, ICICI Bank and ITC were the major gainers. Nestle India, HCL Technologies, Larsen &amp; Toubro, Tata Consultancy Services, <keyword id="19906967" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="tata-motors" source="keywords">Tata Motors</keyword> and Infosys were among the laggards. Infosys declined nearly 1 per cent after the company's revenue growth guidance for FY25 failed to meet market expectations. In Asian markets, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Hong Kong settled in the negative territory. European markets were trading in the red. Wall Street ended mostly lower on Thursday. Global oil benchmark Brent crude climbed 0.55 per cent to USD 87.62 a barrel. Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) offloaded equities worth Rs 4,260.33 crore on Thursday, according to exchange data. "Despite global weakness, Indian markets staged a strong recovery driven by large-cap stocks, buoyed by the expectation of limited prospects of escalation following Israel's action against Iran. However, fragility persists with elevated oil prices, posing <keyword id="20993332" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="inflation-risks" source="keywords">inflation risks</keyword>," said Vinod Nair, Head of Research, Geojit Financial Services. Meanwhile, the 2024 <keyword id="19895394" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="lok-sabha" source="keywords">Lok Sabha</keyword> polls kicked off on Friday with the beginning of polling for the first phase. The BSE benchmark tanked 454.69 points or 0.62 per cent to settle at 72,488.99 on Thursday. The NSE Nifty declined 152.05 points or 0.69 per cent to 21,995.85.

Shares of <keyword id="6354999" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="voltas" source="Orion">Voltas</keyword> Ltd fell by nearly 3 per cent on Thursday morning trade after the air conditioning maker reported a decline of 21.6 per cent in its consolidated net profit in the March 2023 quarter. The stock fell by 2.85 per cent to Rs 830.60 on the BSE. At the NSE, it declined 2.82 per cent to Rs 830.50. Voltas Ltd on Wednesday reported a decline of 21.6 per cent in its consolidated net profit at Rs 143.23 crore in the March 2023 quarter, due to provisions made on delayed collection in the international project business. The Tata group firm had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 182.71 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory filing. Revenue from operations of Voltas was up 11.5 per cent to Rs 2,936.76 crore during the period under review, as against Rs 2,633.72 crore a year ago. "Profit before and after taxes were impacted during the current quarter due to provisions made on delayed collection in the international project business," Voltas said in its earnings statement. In the previous session, the 30-share index ended 145.43 points or 0.24 per cent higher at 60,967.05, and Nifty advanced 10.50 points or 0.06 per cent to 18,125.40. Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers in the capital market, as they offloaded shares worth Rs 2,459.10 crore on Monday, as per exchange data. Bajaj Finance The non-banking finance company, Bajaj Finance informed investors that its consolidated deposit book rose by 22.5% to ₹21,600 crore as of September 2020. In a regulatory filing, the company said it acquired 1.2 million (12 lakh) new customers during the July-September quarter. The shares of Bajaj Finance ended 3% higher yesterday. Dixon Tech Dixon Tech subsidiary Padget Electronics has been chosen as the domestic mobile manufacturing partner in the production linked scheme; the company informed investors. It said it applied for two slots and won one. The shares of Dixon Tech ended 1.36% lower yesterday. VA Tech Wabag The water treatment company Va Tech Wabag<a href="https://www.bseindia.com/xml-data/corpfiling/AttachLive/c77e7e43-1f8b-4f88-9fa7-4a7df0abf367.pdf"> informed investors</a> that it had dissolved its Brazilian arm VA Tech Wabag Brazil Servicos De Agua E Saneamento Ltda, Brazil. The shares of VA Tech Wabag ended 1.46% lower yesterday. Matrimony.com The management of the match-making website clarified that during the conference, they said they were expecting double-digit growth for ‘billing’ (sales) and not for revenue in the matchmaking business. The shares of Matrimony.com ended 0.74% higher yesterday. Majesco and Zee Learn Majesco and Zee Learn will remain in focus ahead of their financial results due later today. <ul><li>Bajaj Auto announced its earnings for the first quarter of FY20. </li><li>Bajaj Auto’s profits stood at ₹1126 crores as compared to ₹1115 crores in the same quarter last year. </li><li>Its share price jumped by 4% after it announced earnings.</li></ul>Bajaj Auto’s share price jumped by over 4% as the country’s leading two and three-wheeler maker gave up margin for more market share. The company led by Chief Executive Officer Rajiv Bajaj in the domestic motorcycle segment, has a market share of 18.3% against 16.3% in Q1FY19. Meanwhile, in the sports segment, the company continues to enjoy a market share of nearly half the segment. This came at a cost. Overall margins shrank to 16.1% from 18.3% because automobile demand has been on a downtrend last few months. At a time when the sales for the entire two-wheeler industry fell 9%, Bajaj Auto clocked a 1.6% growth in sales between April and June 2019. Bajaj Auto’s profits stood at ₹1126 crores, just a tad higher than the figure the same time last year. It’s consolidated profit after tax stood at ₹1012 crores, down 2.8% from a year earlier.
