New Delhi, Jul 6 () Bharti Airtel on Monday said it will give preference to platinum mobile customers, who pay Rs 499 and above per month for post paid connection, on its 4G network. The platinum customers will get better 4G speed on Bharti Airtel network compared to other customers. "Airtel has deployed advanced technologies that give its Platinum mobile customers preference on the network. As a result all Platinum customers will experience faster 4G speeds. As part of the Airtel Thanks program, all postpaid mobile customers on Rs 499 and above plans are designated as Platinum," the company said in a statement. In addition, Airtel Platinum customers will get "red carpet customer care" with preferential service at call centres and retail stores. "All Airtel call centres and retail stores have dedicated staff to attend to Platinum customers on priority and cut down on waiting time," the company said. Airtel will also home deliver 4G sim to platinum customers, according to the statement. "It has been our endeavour to offer a differentiated service experience to our Platinum mobile customers as part of the Airtel Thanks program. And that's where we will deliver that 'extra' service experience to them, including faster speeds by giving them preference on our 4G network, while continuing to serve each of our 280 million customers with the same passion," Bharti Airtel CMO Shashwat Sharma said. We saw what happened to the telecom tariff after Jio launched its commercial services in September last year. The impact seems to be still on. 
 
Airtel announced that it plans to invest up to Rs 2000 crores over the next 3 years under Project Next to launch several digital innovations to up the “simplicity and interactivity” of the Airtel customer experience. Airtel could be looking at it as an extension to the earlier announced Project Leap initiative wherein the company announced investment to build future ready network.

So Airtel says it has spent some time (“2450 hours” to be precise) observing customers and mapping traffic flows within its stores. One of the biggest announcements for Airtel consumers is Airtel’s “Data roll over promise” where consumers can carry forward their unused data from the previous month to the next billing cycle. This will allow consumers to get te best out of the data pack and will result in no data wastage. This is an industry frist move and can certainly benefit the consumers. Consumers can avail this new feature from 1st August, 2017. 
 
 
Apart from the data roll over plan, Airtel also announced redesigning of its over 2500 Airtel stores across India. Airtel says the new stores will be open and minimalistic by design, and will have digital technologies to make the customer experience highly interactive through the concept of Share, Create, Experience. As part of the project even the Airtel App will get a makeover. The new App is looking to provide real time experience from change of plans to real time notifications to fulfilment of services and self-care.

"With cutting-edge 5G infrastructure, a fantastic partner ecosystem and a dedicated workforce that is customer-obsessed, we believe we are on the right path to win and deliver a world-class 5G Plus experience to customers across the length and breadth of the country," Sekhon added. Airtel 5G Plus uses a technology "that has the widest acceptance in the world with the most developed ecosystem," the company said. This makes sure that all 5G smartphones in the country seamlessly work on the Airtel network. The company also guarantees to deliver the best experience by providing customers "between 20 to 30 times higher speeds than today coupled with brilliant voice experience and superfast call connect". "In November 2022, Airtel became the first and only operator to have one million unique customers on its network within 30 days of its commercial launch," it added. Last week, the company also created 5G experience zones across all its retail stores in the country where customers can experience Airtel 5G Plus. Airtel crosses 10 million unique customers on 5G network

New Delhi, May 5 () Bharti Airtel's customers who have downloaded the company's mobile app will get free access to ZEE5's video entertainment content for about two months under a partnership between the two entities announced on Tuesday. Airtel Thanks app customers will not have to pay any subscription to avail the access to ZEE5's content, according to the announcement. "There is some exciting news for all Airtel Thanks customers, who will now get free unlimited access to ZEE5's premium content library as part of their exclusive Thanks benefits. This special offer for Airtel Thanks customers will be available from May 4, 2020, to July 12, 2020," Airtel said in statement. Both prepaid and postpaid customers can download the app. "ZEE5 is happy to strengthen the relationship further with Airtel. We are looking to expand our reach through this partnership with Airtel as we will leverage synergies between the brands and further bolster our presence across the country," Manpreet Bumrah, business development and commercial head, ZEE5 India, said. The country has witnessed around 20 per cent rise in demand in data consumption during the lockdown. Entertainment apps, including gaming content, have seen about 200 per cent jump in data consumption, according to industry estimates. AI helped Airtel detect 51 million spam calls in 10 days, all details

<keyword id="6354287" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Bharti-Airtel">Bharti Airtel</keyword> has rolled out 4G trials in Delhi NCR and offered free upgrade from 3G to 4G. 
 
The company has expanded its 4G facility to Karnal and Yamunanagar in Haryana. The company wants customers to be a part of the trial and offer feedback. 
 
Sarang Kanade, CEO, Delhi NCR and Rajasthan, Bharti Airtel said, "Customers in the region will be uniquely positioned to experience India's first integrated FD and TD 4G network, implying faster 4G speeds and wider network coverage." 
 
"As customers in India show an increasing propensity for consuming data services, we at Airtel are excited to take the lead in introducing the market to power of blazing 4G speeds," he adds. 
 
The company is looking to expand its 4G base in light of Reliance Jio's 4G launch timed for December. 4G trials have been launched for existing Airtel customers in Hyderabad, Vizag, Chennai, Coimbatore and Mumbai. 
 
Existing Airtel users can activate 4G with a quick SMS registration while non-Airtel customers buying 4G enabled mobile devices can follow a process to join the 4G network. 
 
Airtel launched the country’s first 4G services in Kolkata in April 2012. The service is now available across India including Bengaluru, Pune, Nasik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mangaluru, Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Phagwara, Kapurthala, Moga, Bathinda Patiala and recently launched Ambala (City and Cantt.).

The statement comes after an account named 'xenZen' on the dark web claimed to have access to the latest database of over 375 million Airtel India customers, including phone number, email address, parents name, and government IDs including Aadhar, and put it up for sale. "The original threat actor that made the claim has been banned from the hacking forum for scamming people," sources from Airtel told PTI. Telecom operator Bharti <keyword id="15491" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="airtel" source="Orion">Airtel</keyword> overtook <keyword id="6354504" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="reliance-jio" source="Orion">Reliance Jio</keyword> in <keyword id="764355" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="5G" source="Orion">5G</keyword> roll-out with the expansion of the network to additional 235 cities, taking its total reach to 500 cities. Reliance Jio has so far announced the expansion of its ultra high-speed fifth generation (5G) network to 406 cities. "Bharti Airtel...ultra-fast 5G service is available to customers in 500 cities in the country. Airtel added 235 cities to its network, making it one of the largest roll-outs to date," the company said in a statement. Airtel said that it is adding 30-40 cities on its 5G network daily. "Airtel was the first to offer 5G services in October 2022, and today's mega launch is our promise to connect every Airtel customer in the country with ultra-fast <keyword id="4237866" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Airtel-5G" source="Orion">Airtel 5G</keyword> Plus. We have already covered 500 cities and are adding 30 to 40 cities every single day. By September of 2023, we expect to expand our 5G footprint to all of urban India," Bharti Airtel CTO Randeep Sekhon said. According to industry players, India has become the fastest country in the world to roll-out 5G networks. Against the target of rolling out 5G in 200 cities before March 31 set by the government, the service is now available in over 900 cities. Airtel said that its 5G Plus runs on a technology that has the widest acceptance in the world with the most developed ecosystem which ensures that all 5G smartphones in India seamlessly work on the Airtel network. "Second, the company promises to deliver the best experience - between 20 to 30 times higher speeds than today (compared to 4G) coupled with a brilliant voice experience and super-fast call connect," the statement said. Airtel has also removed the 5G data usage limit cap to match with Jio's offer. Earlier 5G data usage was limited to the same as the daily quota which customers had in their 4G subscription plan. "Customers will now be able to experience ultra-fast, reliable and secure 5G Plus services without having to worry about data exhaustion as the company removes the capping on data usage across all existing plans," the statement said. The company has also deployed the first 5G private network at Bosch facility in Bengaluru, and also at Mahindra &amp; Mahindra's Chakan manufacturing facility to make it the first 5G-enabled auto manufacturing unit.
