The <keyword id="43771" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Exit-polls">exit polls</keyword> conducted by various news channels have unanimously projected that NDA will get the magical figure of 272 or at least be in striking distance of forming the next government. 
 The exit polls also indicate that the <keyword id="14666" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="BJP">BJP</keyword> is all set to come up with its best ever performance. In contrast, the <keyword id="1575" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Congress">Congress</keyword> is headed towards its worst ever performance, with its total number of seats projected to be in the range of 100, as per the exit polls. 
 Four channels – <keyword id="2238539" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="NewsX">NewsX</keyword>, <keyword id="211456" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="India-TV">India TV</keyword>, <keyword id="1739243" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="ABP-News">ABP News</keyword> and <keyword id="60050" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="CNN-IBN">CNN-IBN</keyword> – have projected comfortable majority for the NDA. NewsX and India TV have projected 289 seats for the NDA while ABP News estimated that the NDA would capture 281 seats. However, Times Now was the most conservative in its projections, giving the NDA 249-265 <keyword id="6355187" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Lok-Sabha">Lok Sabha</keyword> seats, while CNN-IBN gave it 279-282 seats. 
 
Hindi news channel News24 gave NDA a thumping majority and predicted it to bag 340 seats. On the other hand, Aaj Tak predicted the NDA figures in the range of 261-283. Even if the party gets 261, getting the support of 11 more MPs should not be too difficult, given the fact that the AIADMK chief Jayalalitha is said to be close to Narendra Modi and has extended her support to the coalition in the past during the tenure of the Vajpayee government. 
 
Most of the exit polls showed the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) getting between 101 and 148 seats. NewsX gave the UPA 101 seats, India TV 107 seats, ABP News 97 and CNN-IBN 92-102. 
 
‘Others’, including regional parties like the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samajwadi Party, JD (U) and the Left Front, are estimated to get between 146 and 156 seats. 
 
The exit polls also forecast that the BJP would not be able to open its account in the southern states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. However, in the North, the Narendra Modi wave is projected to sweep away regional identity-based heavyweights like the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party in Uttar Pradesh, and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Bihar. 
 
The BJP is likely have the biggest gains in Uttar Pradesh where two surveys expect it to bag 54 seats, just three less than its all-time high of 57 in 1998. Similarly, the exit polls ruled out the possibility of RJD’s revival. 
 
The debutant Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is projected to get an average of only five seats, with a total vote share of about 4%.

BJP's IT cell head Amit Malviya, the West Bengal co-incharge, told IANS: "The BJP is going to win more than 200 seats regardless of whatever the figures of the exit polls suggest. During the 2019 <keyword id="6355187" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="lok-sabha">Lok Sabha</keyword> elections nobody said that the BJP may win 18 seats. However, the party stunned everyone. Let's wait for the results on May 2... everything will become clear." Meanwhile, BJP national spokesperson Gopal Krishna Agarwal told IANS: "Exit polls cannot be treated as exit polls. West Bengal is amid the air of change. The way <keyword id="43868" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mamata-Banerjee">Mamata Banerjee</keyword> has created a confrontation with the central government, kept the people deprived of the Central benefits, indulged in appeasement politics... she is going to lose elections badly. Apart from the Axis My India-India Today and the Republic-CNX exit polls, which gave the BJP an edge in the battleground state, all other surveys, including the CVoter Exit Poll for Times Now/ABP News, forecast a third victory for the <keyword id="43867" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Trinamool">Trinamool</keyword>, putting it ahead in the 294-member <keyword id="6354702" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="assembly">Assembly</keyword>. However, the survey of Axis My India-India Today, whose predictions in the 2019 Assembly elections had shown the immense BJP gains in the state, again gave the party its first-ever victory in the state polls. According to it, the BJP could end with 134-160 seats, the Trinamool with 130-156, and the Left with a mere 0-2. On the other hand, the P-MARQ survey gave the Trinamool 152-172 seats, the BJP 112-132, and the Left 10-20. The NewsX-Polstrat gave the Trinamool 152-162 and the BJP 111-125 seats. The ETG Research poll gave Banerjee's party 164-176, the BJP 105-115 and the Left 10-15 seats. CVoter gave Trinamool 152-164, the BJP 109-121 and the Left 14-25. The Republic-CNX poll, however, showed a BJP victory, giving it 138-148 seats, with 128-132 for the Trinamool and 11-21 for the Left. BJP says it is confident about winning over 200 seats and forming government in West Bengal

the polls predict AAP to win, the seats under their wing are set to reduce. During the last Delhi Assembly election in 2015, AAP garnered 67 seats with the remaining 3 going to the BJP. The BJP was hoping that the Shaheen Bagh protests would turn the tables in their favour by citing the city’s law and order problem. However, law and order is controlled by the central government and not the local administration. "Your vote to BJP candidate will make Delhi and the country safe and prevent thousands of incidents like Shaheen Bagh. Delhi election opinion polls predict an Aam Aadmi Party win

India’s month-long general election — that started from April 11— are going to conclude with the seventh and final phase today. The primary contest in the election is to win majority seats in the lower house of the parliament. As many as 900 million voters are expected to decide the fate of the new central government. The results are expected on 23 May. Various national pollsters including News18-IPSOS, India Today-Axis, Times Now-VMR, NewsX-Neta, Republic-Jan Ki Baat, Republic-CVoter, ABP-CSDS, and Today's Chanakya are going to release Exit polls after the seventh phase of Lok Sabha Election 2019 finishes at 6 pm. The Exit Polls, however, will be released only after the 7th phase ends What are exit polls? Exit polls are a survey of voters conducted immediately after the voters have left their polling station. It is a private survey conducted by various private organization and indicates the potential results based on certain assumptions. How are exit polls held? Different private agencies use a variety of methods to carry out the exit polls. The polls depend on different methods of sampling used by the organisations. Some agencies do random sampling while some go for systematic sampling. Other parameters used in the exit polls include age, sex, caste, and religion. Generally, the organisation surveying the voters ask whom they have voted on an assumption that they will answer correctly. Once all the phases concludes they predict the trend. Election Commission's guidelines on Exit Polls The Election Commission of India does not allow anyone to release exit polls until half an hour after the final phase has been conducted under the Section 126A of the Representation Section 126A of the Representation of the People's Act, 1951. Anyone who does not adhere to the action is punishable. The punishment can be two years of prison with fine. ‘Any violation by member broadcasters reported to the News Broadcasting Standards Authority (NBSA) by the Election Commission will be dealt with by the NBSA under its regulations," the EC said.

Their report card contains improving school infrastructure by revamping 20,000 classrooms, introducing mohalla clinics and increase CCTV coverage to ensure security. However, AAP seemed to have had no pull with Delhi citizens when it came to Lok Sabha elections. In spite of the 100% results, BJP is on the edge when it comes to the union territory’s assembly elections. For one, a lot has changed since its Lok Sabha election win – with a slowing economy and rising food inflation. Delhi in particular has been at the centre of protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The many troubles with students and citizens like Delhi police action of Jamia Milia students; police registering cases against JNU students after a mob attack had injured many – has angered its many citizens against the central government. Kejriwal became on the few people in power who sought the government t revoke the religious divide while providing sanctuary to citizens.

After Lok Sabha elections earlier this year, now it’s time for Assembly election. Maharashtra and Haryana go for polls tomorrow (October 15). The stakes are high for all the political parties involved; <keyword id="14666" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="BJP">BJP</keyword>, <keyword id="1575" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Congress">Congress</keyword>, <keyword id="42402" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="NCP">NCP</keyword>, <keyword id="6358821" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shiv-Sena">Shiv Sena</keyword>, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). And as is the case with polls, we all keep predicting who the winner would be. Let’s take a look at major predictions and see who’d win the game this time. 
 Nobody seems to be a clear winner in these elections. According to Aaj Tak’s <keyword id="609507" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="exit-poll">exit poll</keyword>, BJP would emerge as the single-largest party in Maharashtra, but would fall way behind the magic figure of 145. Out of 288 seats, it has predicted 93 to BJP, 59 to Shiv Sena, 47 to NCP, 40 to Congress and 27 to MNS. In such a scenario, only an alliance would come to power, but at this stage political pundits can’t even guess who would form the alliance and with whom? In Haryana Assembly too, BJP is expected to win more seats but not clear majority. Aaj Tak exit poll predictions suggest that BJP would be the single-largest party with 33 seats out of 90, followed by INLD (28 seats) and Congress (16 seats). Current Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda is still popular among the voters as 17% people voted him as “the best candidate to become chief minister.” But this is highly unlikely as his Congress party is projected to win merely 16 seats. 
 
According to another poll conducted by ABP News, BJP and its allies would win 120 seats in Maharashtra, falling short of forming the government by 25 seats. It would need Shiv Sena’s help in such a scenario. The poll gave 67 seats to Shiv Sena, 46 to Congress and 36 to NCP. As far as Haryana is concerned, the ABP survey has forecast 36 seats to BJP, 33 to INLD and 15 to the ruling Congress. 
 
If these predictions come true, both Maharashtra and Haryana will have hung Assemblies and coalition politics will be the only way out. But the bigger question is: after bitter divorces, will patch-up really happen? We definitely can’t rule out the possibilities, as we have previously seen many examples of chameleonic politics in India.

These three places in Maharashtra are well-connected with rest of the Maharashtra and are becoming popular among investors. Let’s start with Nagpur. 
 
Nagpur: It is the third largest city of Maharashtra and as per a recent survey, conducted by ABP News-Ipsos, Nagpur has been identified as best city in India. 
 
Nagpur is one of the emerging metropolises and has registered significant growth, making it an attractive destination for real estate developers. There are several development projects underway here. The multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN) is the biggest development project, which aims to convert airport into a cargo hub with integrated road and railway connectivity. 
TCS, one of the India’s largest IT company, is building campus in the city and Infosys has also started construction of its Nagpur campus. The city has several prestigious educational institutes as well. 
 
Nagpur will soon have its own metro. Recently, the Maharashtra government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cisco for making Nagpur a smart and safe city. 
 
Also, Nagpur is a few hours away from Mumbai and Pune. Besides the economic and infrastructural developments, the city also has various public attractions. Sitabuldi Fort and Seminary Hill are few of the attractive tourist locations in Nagpur. 
 
Saswad: Saswad is just 31 km away from Pune railway station and is well connected via city buses too. 
 
The area is in proximity to Jejuri MIDC and Lonand MIDC, amongst others. Saswad also has a number of educational institutes such as Saint Joseph English Medium School, Waghire High School and Waghire College. 
 
Saswad is an ideal location for tourists and is a weekend getaway. The area has many attractive tourist destinations like Jejuri, Malhargad Fort and Purandar Fort amongst others. The place is a perfect match for trekking and exploring. The area has a rich history and cultural heritage. 
 
The location will be viable for land or second home investment. The city is still developing and owing to its proximity to Pune, it has the potential for growth. Raigad is connected to Mumbai through Sion-Panvel Expressway and is accessible via Mumbai-Pune expressway, NH-7 and NH-17. The Maharashtra government is working on a proposal to develop a private smart city at Pen in Raigad district. 
 
Raigad is close to places like Lonavala and Khandala and the presence of Adlabs Imagica, Ballaleshwar Ashtavinayaka temple in the vicinity makes it an ideal location for a getaway. 
 
The area has institutes like Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, which is the only technical university in Maharashtra. The location has tremendous growth potential making it a promising investment destination. 
 
Trichy, Tamil Nadu 
 
Tiruchirappalli, also known as Trichy, is on the smart city list. Located 322 km south of Chennai and 379 km north of Kanyakumari, it is the fourth largest urban agglomeration in the state. 
 
The city was ranked second cleanest city, according to recent Swachh Bharat Abhiyan survey. 
 
Trichy is a major engineering equipment manufacturing and fabrication hub. Industrial units such as Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Golden Rock Railway Workshop and Ordnance Factory Tiruchirappalli (OFT) have factories here. This has lead to significant rise in employment opportunities. 
 
The city is well connected with government owned buses and auto-rickshaws. Trichy is located in close proximity to two prominent National Highways, NH 45 and NH-67. The Railway Heritage centre was inaugurated in 2014 and International airport is only five km away from the main city. The city has various reputed educational institutes like Indian Institute of Management, National Institute of Technology amongst others. Buying land or second home in the city or at the outskirts will be beneficial because of the infrastructural growth in and around the city.
