Enviro Infra Engineers, which is involved in the development of turnkey projects of <keyword id="19979438" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sewage-treatment-plants" source="keywords">sewage treatment plants</keyword> and sewerage systems, on Monday fixed a price band of ₹140-148 per share for its ₹650 crore <keyword id="19913114" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Initial-Public-Offering" source="keywords">Initial Public Offering</keyword> (IPO). The initial share sale will open for public subscription on November 22 and conclude on November 26. The bidding for anchor investors will open for a day on November 21, the company announced. The city-based company's proposed IPO is a combination of a fresh issue of 3.87 crore equity shares and an Offer For Sale (OFS) component of 52.68 lakh shares by promoters. Currently, promoters hold over 93 per cent stake in Enviro Infra Engineers. At the higher end of the price band, the IPO is valued at ₹650 crore, placing the company's market capitalization at approximately ₹2,600 crore. Proceeds from the fresh issue to the tune of ₹181 crore will be used to meet the working capital requirements, ₹100 crore will be used for payment of debt, ₹30 crore will be infused into the company's subsidiary, EIEL Mathura Infra Engineers, to build 60 million litres per day Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. Besides, a portion will be used for general corporate purposes. Half of the issue size has been reserved for qualified institutional buyers, 35 per cent for retail investors and the remaining 15 per cent for non-institutional investors. Enviro Infra Engineers is engaged in designing, construction, operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants and water supply scheme projects for government authorities/bodies. The treatment process installed by the company at most of the STPs is zero liquid discharge-compliant and the treated water can be used for horticulture, washing, refrigeration, and other process industries. Hem Securities is the sole book-running lead manager of the public issue. The equity shares of the company are expected to be listed on the BSE and NSE on November 29. Enviro Infra Engineers IPO to open on Nov 22; eyes ₹650 crore

The company posted a consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs 285.86 crore in the same quarter last year. For the full 2023-24 fiscal, its PAT stood at Rs 1,747 crore, which was 36 per cent higher compared to a year ago. Addressing an earnings call on Wednesday, the company's Managing Director Bharat Puri shared that the full-year revenue was underpinned by distribution expansion supply chain and digital initiatives. The company's total income for the quarter under review rose to Rs 2,950.73 crore as against Rs 2,712.07 crore a year ago, according to a regulatory filing. However, its total expenses also rose to Rs 2,450.87 crore in the January-March period from Rs 2,318,09 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. For the full financial year 2023-24, the company's total income stood at Rs 12,522.64 crore as against Rs 11,848.71 crore in the previous fiscal. Puri informed that the company incurred a loss of nearly Rs 72 crore shown as an exceptional item in the consolidated results released in a regulatory filing on Tuesday evening on account of divestment of its Brazilian subsidiary. Pidilite Industries Q4 profit rises to ₹304 crore

Union Finance Minister <keyword id="19916618" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Nirmala-Sitharaman" source="keywords">Nirmala Sitharaman</keyword> in her Budget speech proposed creation of <keyword id="19898684" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="employment" source="keywords">employment</keyword> of about 4.1 crore <keyword id="19916812" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="youth" source="keywords">youth</keyword> over the next five years. Towards it, the finance minister has made an allocation of Rs 2 lakh crore. Similarly, for <keyword id="20374219" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="skilling" source="keywords">skilling</keyword> the citizens so as to generate job opportunities, she proposed Rs 1.48 crore. 20 lakh youth will be skilled over a five-year period. A total of 1,000 industrial training institutes will be upgraded, she announced. She proposed in her speech that a one-time wage would be provided to all first time employees in all sectors. The incentive for first-timers would be provided through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) The Finance Minister said that the government will launch internship opportunities in 500 companies to one crore youth in five years. Interns will get exposure to real-life environment and an allowance of Rs 5000 per month, she said. The companies will bear training and 10 per cent of training cost from CSR funds. Sitharaman said employment, skilling, MSME, and middle class are among key focus areas of this Budget. Foreign investors return to Indian stocks with net investment of Rs 4,897 crore this week

Online food delivery firm <keyword id="19901323" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Zomato" source="keywords">Zomato</keyword> Ltd on Monday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 175 crore in the March quarter on the back of higher revenue. The company had posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 188 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, Zomato Ltd said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 3,562 crore. It was Rs 2,056 crore in the year-ago period, it added. Total expenses were at Rs 3,636 crore. The company posted its total expenses at Rs 2,431 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, it said. For the fiscal ended on March 31, 2024, the consolidated net profit was Rs 351 crore. The company had posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 971 crore in the previous fiscal ended on March 31, 2023, the filing said. In FY24, consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 12,114 crore. It was at Rs 7,079 crore. The results for the year ended March 31, 2024, are not comparable with the year ended March 31, 2023, due to the acquisition of Blink Commerce Pvt Ltd (formerly known as Grofers India Pvt Ltd) in June 2022, the filing said. Zomato posts Q4 consolidated net profit at ₹175 crore

IIFL Securities Q4 profit more than doubles to ₹180 crore

Quick service restaurant operator <keyword id="20376663" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Devyani-International" source="keywords">Devyani International</keyword> Ltd on Tuesday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 48.95 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024, impacted by forex translation loss due to the devaluation of Nigerian currency. The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 59.88 crore in the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal, Devyani International said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 1,047.08 crore as against Rs 754.98 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, it added. Total expenses were higher at Rs 1,057.32 crore as compared to Rs 724.77 crore in the year-ago quarter, it added. During the quarter ended March 31, 2024, and the year ended March 31, 2024, due to significant devaluation of the Nigerian currency, the Nigerian subsidiary of the group has recognised Rs 42.37 crore and Rs 89.7 crore devaluation impact on account of translation loss of USD denominated liabilities in Nigerian subsidiary's financial information as at March 31, 2024, and year ended March 31, 2024, respectively, the filing said. "Considering the significance of the amount involved, the said exchange translation loss has been presented as an "exceptional item" in consolidated financial results of the group," it said. In FY24, consolidated revenue from operations was at Rs 3,556.32 crore as against Rs 2,997.72 crore in FY23. "In 2024, we have diligently focused on our strategic expansion goals. Over the course of the year, we opened 256 new stores, including 47 in the fourth quarter. As of March 31, our total store count has reached 1,782, including the 283 KFC stores we acquired in Thailand on January 18, 2024," Devyani International Chairman Ravi Jaipuria said. He said alongside the global expansion, the company has also been working on a strategy to enhance its domestic footprint of the food courts business in response to India's emergence as a major destination for travel, tourism, and shopping. "The domestic travel market is picking up very well and we are seeing religious tourism as one of the important thrust areas. Devyani International posts net loss of ₹48.95 crore in Q4

The company attributed the growth to GMV growth, device additions, and growth in the financial services distribution business. Since its IPO, when the company went public, it for the first full year EBITDA before ESOP profitability of Rs 559 crore, its earnings results released Wednesday showed. In the January-March quarter, however, Paytm reported a revenue of Rs 2,267 crore, a modest decline of 3 per cent year-on-year. "In Q4 FY 2024, we had lower marketing spends, as we paused most of the user growth spending in the month of February and March. We expect to reinvest in these areas in the coming financial year," Paytm informed stock exchanges. "While we experienced a financial impact in Q4 due to the above disruptions, the full financial impact will be seen in Q1 FY 2025." Paytm says it is confident of seeing meaningful improvement starting from Q2 2024-25, based on restarting certain paused products and achieving steady growth in operating metrics. In Q1 of the current fiscal, its focus will be on acquiring new merchants, reactivation of inactive merchants, and redeployment of devices from inactive merchants to new merchants. "While there will be a smaller net addition of device merchants in Q1 FY 2025, we expect net additions to improve from thereon and recover to past trendlines by Q3 FY 2025." Its revenue from payment services were up 26 per cent to Rs 6,235 crore; net payment margin was up 50 per cent to Rs 2,955 crore; gross merchandise value (GMV) up 39 per cent to Rs 18.3 lakh crore. Merchant paying subscriptions for devices have reached 1.07 crore as of March 2024, an increase of 39 lakh. Revenue from financial services and others up 30 per cent to Rs 2,004 crore; value of loans distributed was up 48 per cent to Rs 52,390 crore. Further, Paytm said that the active rate and per device subscription revenue has been impacted. Merchant subscription revenue in Q4 was Rs 90 per device per month and it expects it to bottom out at Rs 80 in Q1, post which it should increase towards Rs 100 by Q4 of the current fiscal. "We continue to address our merchants' needs through innovative product launches and are backed by a large distribution and service network. We recently launched two more "Made in India" soundboxes which are customized to the needs of our merchants, with louder speakers and longer battery life." Paytm registers 25% growth in revenue at ₹9,978 crore in 2023-24

The <keyword id="21570567" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="credit-offtake" source="keywords">credit offtake</keyword> continued to grow at the rate of 13.9% year-on-year to reach Rs. 168.1 lakh crore for the fortnight ending July 12, 2024. However, the pace of growth was slow, a Care Edge report said. Credit offtake is a type of <keyword id="19946069" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="bank-credit" source="keywords">bank credit</keyword> that assists businesses in getting financing for future projects. The credit offtake increased by 14.0% year-on-year, but declined by 0.4% sequentially for the fortnight ended July 12, 2024. Over the last twelve months, credit offtake expanded by Rs. 20.4 lakh crore. The report attributed the sluggishness to the higher base effect and banks' focus on restraining the credit-to-deposit (CD) ratio. <keyword id="20218853" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="deposits" source="keywords">Deposits</keyword> grew by 11.3 % year-on-year for the fortnight, including the impact of the HDFC merger, reaching Rs. 211.8 lakh crore, driven by growth in time deposits. "The <keyword id="20575555" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="credit-to-deposit" source="keywords">Credit to Deposit</keyword> ratio stood at 79.4 % for the fortnight (July 12, 2024). Meanwhile, if we study the credit and deposit inflows over the past 3 months and 6 months, we can observe that credit offtake has lagged the deposit growth numbers. Hence, the <keyword id="20048508" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="CD-ratio" source="keywords">CD ratio</keyword> derived from these flows from January would be around 70% and from March would be approximately 54%," the report added. The report added that going forward, bank credit offtake could face challenges, and is likely to be tepid for the entire year. Inflows over the past three and six months show credit offtake at 5.3% for six months and 2.3% for three months, lagging behind deposit growths of 6.0% and 3.4% respectively. Deposits rose by 11.3% year-on-year for the fortnight, but declined by 0.5 % sequentially. In absolute terms, deposits expanded by Rs. 23.9 lakh crore over the last twelve months. The report anticipated that the deposit is expected to be strong in FY25, as banks focus on strengthening their liability franchise, sourcing funds through certificates of deposit, despite higher costs. As per the data in the report, the absolute growth in credit offtake was Rs. 8.4 lakh crore for six months, and Rs. 3.8 lakh crore for three months, lagging behind deposit growth of Rs. 11.9 lakh crore and Rs. 7.0 lakh crore for the same periods. The CD ratio has floated around 80 % since September 2023, standing at 79.4 % for the fortnight ending July 12, 2024, as per the report.

Credit offtake expanded by Rs. 20.4 lakh crore, deposits by Rs 23.9 lakh crore over the last 12 months

New Delhi, <keyword id="19971670" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="JSW-Steel" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="JSW Steel" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="JSW Steel">JSW Steel</keyword> has posted a 65 per cent fall in consolidated <keyword id="19942166" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="net-profit" source="keywords">net profit</keyword> at Rs 1,322 crore for the March 2024 quarter impacted by <keyword id="21700627" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="raw-materials-costs" source="keywords">raw materials costs</keyword> and some other expenses. It had clocked Rs 3,741 crore net profit during the fourth quarter of the last fiscal, the company said in an exchange filing on Friday. The company's total income also fell to Rs 46,511.28 crore from Rs 47,427 crore in January-March FY23. During the period under review, its expenses stood at Rs 44,401 crore, as against Rs 43,170 crore a year ago. Among the expenses, the cost of raw materials consumed by the company surged to Rs 24,541 crore from 23,905 crore in the January-March FY23. While "other expenses" increased to Rs 7,197 crore from Rs 6,653 crore in the year-ago period. In FY24, the net profit rose to Rs 8,973 crore from Rs 4139 crore in FY23. The income for the full year stood at Rs 1,76,010 crore, up from Rs 1,66,990 crore. The board of directors of the company announced a final dividend of Rs 7.30 for FY24. JSW Steel Q4 net profit falls 65% to ₹1,322 crore

Auto components major <keyword id="21576080" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bharat-Forge-Ltd" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="Bharat Forge Ltd" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="Bharat Forge Ltd">Bharat Forge Ltd</keyword> on Wednesday reported a 77.8 per cent rise in <keyword id="20129249" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="consolidated-net-profit" source="keywords">consolidated net profit</keyword> at Rs 227.12 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024, riding on higher sales. The company had posted a profit of Rs 127.74 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, <keyword id="19946643" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bharat-Forge" source="keywords">Bharat Forge</keyword> said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 4,164.21 crore as against Rs 3,629.05 crore in the year-ago period, it added. Total expenses in the fourth quarter were higher at Rs 3,843.55 crore as compared to Rs 3,469.05 crore in the same period a year ago. The Board of Directors at its meeting held on May 8, 2024, recommended a final dividend of Rs 6.50 per equity share of the face value of Rs 2 for the financial year ended March 31, 2024, subject to approval of shareholders at the ensuing annual general meeting, Bharat Forge said. For the fiscal ended March 31, net profit was at Rs 910.16 crore as compared to Rs 508.39 crore in the previous fiscal, it added. Consolidated revenue from operations in FY24 was at Rs 15,682.07 crore as against Rs 12,910.26 crore in FY23, the filing said. Bharat Forge Q4 profit rises 77% at ₹227.12 crore

The company had posted a consolidated PAT of Rs 2,637 crore in the January-March quarter of the 2022-23 fiscal, <keyword id="19981454" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="mm" source="keywords">M&amp;M</keyword> said in a regulatory filing. <keyword id="19945274" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="revenue" source="keywords">Revenue</keyword> increased to Rs 35,452 crore in the fourth quarter, registering a growth of 9 per cent, as compared to Rs 32,456 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, it added. For the year full year ended March 31, the company posted a consolidated <keyword id="19942166" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="net-profit" source="keywords">net profit</keyword> of Rs 11,269 crore as against Rs 9,025 crore in FY23, an increase of 25 per cent. Revenue rose 15 per cent to Rs 1,39,078 crore in the last fiscal as compared with Rs 1,21,362 crore in FY23. "It has been an excellent year with most of our businesses delivering a high level of performance. The company said its board has approved a dividend of Rs 21.10 per share of the face value of Rs 5 each. Shares of the company were trading flat at Rs 2,302.80 apiece on the BSE.
