New Delhi, Feb 3 () TVS Motor Company on Monday reported a 16.88 per cent decline in total sales in January at 2,34,920 units.
 The company, which primarily makes two-wheelers and three-wheelers, had sold 2,82,630 units in January 2019, TVS Motor Company said in a statement.
 Total two-wheeler sales during the month stood at 2,20,439 units as against 2,69,277 units in January 2019, down 18.13 per cent.
 Domestic two-wheeler sales stood at 1,63,007 units last month as compared to 2,28,654 units in January 2019, a decline of 28.71 per cent, it added.
 Total exports increased 34 per cent to 70,784 units last month as compared with 52,650 units in January 2019. MSS SHW

TVS Motor sales down 17 pc in January

New Delhi, Apr 3 () Bajaj Auto on Friday reported 38 per cent decline in total sales to 2,42,57 units in March as against 3,93,351 in the same month last year.Total domestic sales fell 55 per cent to 1,16,541 units last month as compared to 2,59,185 units in March 2019, Bajaj Auto said in a statement.The company further said its total two-wheeler sales were down 35 per cent at 2,10,976 units as compared to 3,23,538 units in the year-ago month.Domestic two-wheeler sales were at 98,412 units last month as against 2,20,213 units in March 2019, a decline of 55 per cent, it added.For the 2019-20, the two-wheeler maker reported 8 per cent dip in sales at 46,15,212 units as compared to 50,19,503 units in 2018-19. Bajaj Auto total sales down 38 pc in March

New Delhi, Apr 2 () TVS Motor Company on Thursday reported a 55.5 per cent decline in total sales in March at 1,44,739 units. The company, which primarily makes two-wheelers and three-wheelers, had sold 3,25,323 units in March 2019, TVS Motor Company said in a statement. "There has been a huge impact on the company's production and sales this month because of COVID-19 lockdown across the country," it added. Total two-wheeler sales during the month stood at 1,33,988 units as against 3,10,885 units in March 2019, down 56.9 per cent. Domestic two-wheeler sales stood at 94,103 units last month as compared to 2,47,694 units in March 2019, a decline of 62 per cent, it added. The company had increased the prices of its electric scooters by up to ₹15,000 effective June 1. TVS Motor, the maker of the iQube electric scooters, reported sales of 7,791 scooters in June 2023, down from 20,397 in May. The company’s sales declined by 61.80%. The company increased its prices between ₹17,000 to ₹22,000. Up next is <keyword id="2622993" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="ather-energy" source="Orion">Ather Energy</keyword>, which is the worst-hit among the top 5 EV two-wheeler makers. The company sold 4,543 scooters in June, down from 15,407 a month earlier, a decline of 70.51%. The company had increased the prices of its electric scooters by up to ₹30,285. Bajaj Auto has also taken a big hit, with a decline of 70.24%. The company’s sales decreased from 9,965 in May to 2,966 in June. The company had raised the price of its scooters by ₹22,000. Okinawa has taken a 10% hit in sales, reporting sales of 2,616 units in June, down from 2,907 units in May. No FAME, no gain? India’s electric two-wheeler sales decline after increase in prices

The <keyword id="44717" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Automobile">automobile</keyword> industry in the country ran at an impressive pace in November 2014. It produced a total of 1,994,248 vehicles-- including <keyword id="410427" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="passenger-vehicles">passenger vehicles</keyword>, <keyword id="6390018" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="commercial-vehicles">commercial vehicles</keyword>, three wheelers, and two wheelers--in the month under review as compared to 1,774,474 units in November 2013, suggests data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (<keyword id="108827" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="SIAM">SIAM</keyword>). 
 
The SIAM also revealed that the industry registered a growth of 12.39% over the same month last year. 
 In April-November 2014, the <keyword id="184010" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="domestic-sales">domestic sales</keyword> of passenger vehicles surged by 2.68% against the same period last year. If we look within the passenger vehicles segment, passenger cars and utility vehicles grew by 3.82% and 5.24% respectively. On the other hand, sales of vans declined by (-) 13.70% in April-November 2014 as compared to the same period last year. 
 
In addition to that, the domestic sales of three wheelers sales registered a growth of 14.20% in April-November 2014 against the same period last year. Notably, passenger and goods carriers witnessed an upward trend by 15.49% and 8.46% respectively during the same period as against April-November 2013. 
 
If we look at the sales of two wheeler segment, it registered growth of 11.84% in April-November 2014 as against the same period last year. Its is worth noting that within this segment, scooters, motorcycles and mopeds grew by 28.19%, 6.58% and 9.84% respectively . 
 Talking about the exports in April-November 2014, overall <keyword id="2575515" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Automobile-exports">automobile exports</keyword> grew by 21.31% over the same period last year. Passenger Vehicles, Commercial Vehicles, Three Wheelers and Two Wheelers grew by 2.7%, 14.26%, 21.45% and 27.04% respectively during the period under review as compared to April-November 2013.
