Since the demonetization move, Paytm reported over five million transactions every day, biggest growth the company has ever seen.

Huge growth in traffic led to a whopping 100% growth in the money value across Paytm accounts.

It all started with a controversial ad Paytm put up in newspapers the very next day after Modi’s big announcement of demonetization. The ad featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked him on “taking the boldest decision in the financial history of independent India!”

Taking it a step further, Paytm has now made it possible for consumers and merchants to pay and receive money without an internet connection.
