The smartphone maker has given itself a timeline till the end of next fiscal, in which it would be looking at a minimum of 50% growth in volume sales.

The company also plans to enter into the top five positions in the smartphone market this year, and six to seven new phones would be launched to achieve this purpose. The phones would be priced between Rs 8,000 and Rs 25,000.
"We are expecting to achieve revenue little in excess of Rs 4,000 crore for the year ending March 2016, and looking to do Rs 10,000 crore in next financial year,"
While the company had already started making phones in India, it was still importing around 40% of its products as of September last year.
To assist in the new manufacturing process, a new manufacturing unit will be set up in Haryana, for which Rs 500 crore will be invested to make sure that there is increased capacity in the plant by the time it is functional, which is planned in the next two years.
