Xiaomi gets the 32GB variant of Mi 4i in India
The Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi is celebrating its first anniversary in India and as expected they are doing it by launching a new variant of their made in India smartphone - Mi 4i. Starting today, the larger capacity 32GB variant of this device is also available.
For the past couple of days, Xiaomi had been teasing the launch of this variant on the social media. And you might be aware that the Chinese smartphone company has launched Mi 4i in April. But at the time of launch, the device only had 16GB internal storage with no microSD card slot.
Apart from the storage capacity, all rest of the features of Mi 4i will remain the same. It will be equipped with a 5-inch full HD (1920x1080 pixels) IPS OGS display. The smartphone will have a 2nd generation 1.7GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core (1.1GHz quad-core + 1.7GHz quad-core) 64-bit processor paired with 2GB of RAM.
Taking pictures with the phone will be enjoyable as it will be equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel selfie camera. The phone will possess a 3,120mAh battery with quick charge support.
Connectivity options include, dual-SIM card slots with both supporting LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS, and on the software front it runs on Android Lollipop-based MIUI 6.
As part of these celebrations, Xiaomi is also looking at launching a few exciting offers. Flipkart is already offering some exchange schemes for the Xiaomi devices. The Xiaomi Redmi 2 is available for Rs 3,999 with exchange (usual price is Rs 5,999). The Mi 4i 16GB variant is for Rs 7,999 with exchange as opposed to Rs 12,999. Also their flagship smartphone Mi 4 is going for Rs 9,999 in exchange, while otherwise it is for Rs 14,999.
Also users who have already have some of the Mi devices can go to the Mi.com site and stand to get some freebies such as protection cover.
