Moms have been dominating Facebook since about 2013, and oftentimes, the results are unintentionally hilarious.
But there's one Facebook mom craze that teens have had enough of: minion memes.
Minions are cartoon characters that originated in the 2010 film "Despicable Me," plus a sequel in 2013, and the upcoming "Minions," which hits theaters July 10.
They're also absurdly popular online.
As Brian Feldman pointed out at The Awl, minions are perfect for meme-ification because, similar to emoji, "they're yellow, they run the emotional spectrum, they function as a malleable shorthand for almost indescribable feelings." Check out this Pinterest search for "minion" if you need proof.
According to teens on Twitter and Tumblr, moms are the minion memes' biggest fans.
People are reposting minion memes with captions like, "STOP THIS NOW!"
The memes consist of cutesy, mischievous slogans accompanied by minions.
Some of them are pretty hard to parse.
Apparently, having your mom post one of these minion memes on Facebook is embarrassing.

On Tumblr, the minion-loving Facebook mom has become a direct descendant of "Facebook wine mom," another Tumblr trope.
Entire Tumblr blogs are devoted to mocking the minion meme craze.
There's backlash on Tumblr, with some users saying that the ironic minion memes are just as bad as the earnest ones.
The mom-minion obsession is also active in the offline world.
Teachers are using minion memes in PowerPoint presentations.
Minion DIY projects are popping up, too.
But there is one silver lining. The minion meme obsession might be bringing some moms and kids together...
... But only if the moms aren't into minions.
