Kishore Biyani is on a shopping spree! Future Group buys Sangam Direct chain of grocery stores

Kishore Biyani is leaving no stone unturned to strengthen its Future Group. After Heritage Fresh, Biyani-led Future Group acquired Sangam Direct chain of grocery stores from Wadhawan Holding.

Wadhawan Holding operate the stores under Sangam Direct, which were earlier known as Sabka Bazaar in Delhi-NCR and in Bengaluru.
ET quoted sources saying Sangam Direct business has a revenue of about Rs 100-150 crore.

Sources told ET, Biyani's group will purchase three dozen stores network from Wadhawan mainly through a "lease transfer" way instead of cash.

Meanwhile, Biyani is already in advance talks to buy Hyderabad-based Heritage Foods Ltd.
