In pictures: Inside John Abraham's breathtaking duplex penthouse

John Abraham along with his brother Alan Abraham of Abraham John Architects broke the stereotype of a typical celebrity house by building the most serene and luxurious penthouse for the actor in Mumbai.

The penthouse, aptly named Villa in the Sky is mesmerising to say the least. All 4,000 sq.feet of it.

It was designed with the theme of minimalism being of utmost and it being complimented by rustic hardwood beams and plant life to create a space that looks both modern and aged at the same time.

The highlight of the property on the 7th and 8^th floors is undoubtedly the spectacular view of the majestic Arabian sea and it can be noticed how the design was maximised for the view.

This included putting in floor to ceiling windows wherever possible, including the massive new master bedroom. In fact, these sea views are now visible from every room of the house.

To combine the two apartment spaces, all internal walls were taken down and a new staircase, cantilevered off the interior columns, was added to connect the floors.
