Hillary Clinton's leading primary opponent just drew a massive, 10,000-person crowd

US Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) appears to be gaining some real traction as he campaigns for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination.

According to the Associated Press, The Guardian, and other outlets, Sanders drew a huge, 10,000-person crowd while campaigning in Wisconsin on Wednesday. Sanders' campaign proclaimed it "the largest turnout so far this campaign season" for any presidential candidate.

The photos are fairly stunning, especially because Sanders is viewed as a long shot against the Democratic front-runner, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Of all her fellow party rivals, however, Sanders is polling the strongest.

"This campaign is not about Bernie Sanders. It is not about Hillary Clinton or anybody else. It is about you," Sanders said before the crowd, according to his 2016 team.
