LinkedIn is joining the big digital video push.

The company announced Tuesday morning that it will now let its 500 "Influencers" start posting 30-second video clips to the professional social network.

These videos will appear in the main LinkedIn feed, among the shared articles, network updates, and job postings, and anyone will be able to comment on them, like them, or share them.

Influencers can choose their own topics, but LinkedIn's editorial staff will also ask questions that influencers like Bill Gates or Arianna Huffington can respond to. All videos on the same topic will then be curated into one place so that users can browse them easily.

The company says that curated topics will include diversity, workplace culture, innovation, and more.

The videos have to be pre-recorded versus streamed live and the feature will launch without any video ads.

LinkedIn's update comes as other networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr are also making big pushes into online video.

This is also the first big feature push since Microsoft announced that it was buying LinkedIn for $26.2 billion in June.
