EY, Deloitte, Cognizant are coming for you
Brush your skills and prepare yourself for the interview as consulting firms such as EY, Deloitte, Cognizant, etc are shopping for talent and they might come to your campus as well.

The consulting firms are going to more Indian Institutes of Management to hire fresh MBA graduates as initiatives like Digital India are driving demand for management services.

These firms are approaching IIMs at Kashipur, Trichy, Udaipur, Rohtak and Shillong, looking for talent in financial services, technology and consumer goods.

This time, the big consultancies are looking for talent apart from IIM Ahemdabad, Bengaluru and Kolkata.

EY, Deloitte, Cognizant and The Boston Consulting Group said they hired more MBAs offering 30% higher salaries.

"Clients are fairly positive about campaigns such as Make in India, Digital India, etc. The outlook for growth is quite positive and all this is translating into a rise in hiring numbers this year," Sandeep Kohli, national director for HR at EY, told ET.

Sandy Gopalan, vice-president for consulting at Cognizant, told ET that more focus on digital is giving way to more hiring.

"We are in the midst of a once-in-a-decade shift in the technology landscape. While continuing to drive down costs in core operations, clients are also shifting towards digital in order to remain competitive. This trend is creating significant opportunities for B-school graduates," said Gopalan.

Typically, biggies pay between Rs 20 and Rs 30 lakh annual package to B-school talent at the entry level.

IIM-Rohtak, which was founded in 2010, saw the sharpest jump in offers from the consulting space.
