Buy anything on Snapdeal and you may get it within four hours

Snapdeal is improving the delivery time and it is certainly going to make a positive impact on its business.

After trimming the delivery time to four hours for certain mobile phones, Snapdeal is planning to do the same for other products.

Snapdeal has a 'next day' and 'same day' tab for mobile phones and fast-moving consumer goods and as per Ashish Chitravanshi, around 99 per cent orders on Snapdeal are dispatched on the same day.

"We have already improved upon our delivery time by 70% over last year and would now expand the scope of 4-hour deliveries beyond exclusive phone launches," Ashish Chitravanshi, VP operations at Snapdeal, told ET.

Snapdeal has a warehouse space of 2 million square feet that fulfils 70% of its orders.

It is also running a pilot test for delivery through Janus, a multi-channel platform where customers can discover, buy, same day local delivery.
In the past one year, Snapdeal also doubled the number of sellers on its platform, and now boasts of more than three lakh associated sellers.
