The survey adds that even though the labour market outlook is positive, there would only be a moderate growth in job opportunities for IT professionals.

The remaining 52% of companies that would hire would do so from Southern and Western regions.
Also, there is a new hiring trend that is emerging in the Indian IT sector, which is to hire temporary IT workers in case of projects that demand immediate handling. Some organisations have also decided against new hiring and instead, focus on up-skilling and re-skilling their already existing employees.
